At the start of our 27th season, Mt. Kearsarge Indian Museum is honoring the couple who have made it all possible. Founder’s Day will be a celebration of Bud and Nancy Thompson and the multitude of people they have helped during their long lives. The festivities will take place at the Warner Town Hall, where Bud and Nancy will be surrounded by their family, friends, and admirers. There will live music by Ben Dobrowski and food catered by various local restaurants who have donated their fare in honor of the beloved Thompsons. Multiple businesses and local luminaries have donated their wares or expertise for some very enticing experiential raffle prizes. Millican Nurseries has generously donated a Paper Bark Maple sapling in honor of Bud and Nancy, which will eventually be planted in the Museum’s Arboretum alongside 75 other species of trees. Along with the tree, Bud and Nancy will be presented with a citation from Governor Chris Sununu honoring them for their lifelong service to the State of New Hampshire. A video will also be shown, sent from NH Congresswoman Annie Kuster, thanking the Thompsons for their contributions to our community.
