WILMOT – More than 50 craftspeople will participate in the Wilmot Community Association’s (WCA) annual Holiday Craft Fair set from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, December 1 at the New London Outing Club’s Indoor Center, 114 Cougar Court, New London. Admission is free.
“For anyone looking for the perfect handmade item to give as a Christmas gift, the WCA’s Holiday Craft Fair is a MUST,” said Kathy Neuberger, event organizer. Vendors will sell a wide variety of beautiful, handcrafted goods. You’ll find unique gifts, holiday ornaments, cutting boards, stained glass, hand-dipped candles, jewelry, jams, jellies, and baked goods as well as hand sewn, knitted, woven and felted items.
Be sure to check out the Wilmot Ladies Aid Society’s Cookie Walk. In addition, Rachel’s Café will sell coffee, homemade chili, soups, sandwiches and drinks throughout the event.
The WCA was established in 1963. Throughout the year, the not-for-profit sponsors and co-sponsors free and low-cost entertainment, recreation and educational activities for families, adults and seniors. The WCA owns and operates the Red Barn, a community center on Village Road, and Timothy Patten Park, a beach and playground on Shindagan Road in Wilmot. In addition to community events, the Red Barn is available for rent for private events and parties.
The WCA’s office at 64 Village Road in Wilmot is open from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Wednesday and by appointment.
