Blue Loon Bakery in New London, NH is looking for an experienced full-time front-of-house lead to join our high-energy team and a growing local business.
Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged. We are looking for someone available to work 35 hours a week starting ASAP, and available to work 7am-3:30pm Wednesday through Sunday. Weekends are required, but no evening or night hours. This position offers a competitive hourly wage (up to $15 an hour plus tips based on experience), health care, retirement savings plan, and vacation benefits, as well as employee discounts.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Front of House staff and manage customer interactions
- Carry out bakery opening and closing procedures
- Provide exceptional customer service in person and over the phone
- Deliver product through our curbside delivery ordering option
- Greet customers and answer product questions knowledgeably
- Prepare and pack orders
- Maintain a clean and tidy work area
- Accurately process all cash and credit payments
- Assist with making sandwiches, washing dishes, and stocking baked goods as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cashier, serving staff, or customer service. Previous work in food service preferred.
- Previous team lead experience preferred
- A desire to take on a team leadership position and learn management skills
- Ability to multitask in a high-paced environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service
- Basic mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to listen, communicate and problem-solve effectively
- Knowledge of pastries and bread a plus but not required
